Map Moves
If you hit a diglett, psyduck, or poliwag button 3 times, you can go on to a little bonus called a map move. Map moves allow you to change the city you're in. If you get 3 map moves sucessfully, you'll move on to hard to reach areas so you can catch new pokemon! It's very difficult, but if you want to complete your pokedex, you have to do it!
  How to Evolve your Pokemon In order to evolve a pokemon you just caught you have to:
1. Light up all three light on the left side of the pinball screen.(this will open the ditto, or the slowbro)
2. Collecting 3 stones, experience points, or link cables to evolve.
3.Making it through the portal once all stones are collected.
THIS WILL EVOLVE YOUR POKEMON!
(if you have a pokemon that evolves more thatn once, you have to do this process again to the pokemon you just evolved)
EXE: you just evolved your bulbasaur into ivysaur, you have to do that whole process over again, to make it a veusaur!

you can catch bulbasaur in Pallet Town!
  Bonus Stages There are several bonus stages you can get to by catching 3 or more pokemon.
1.meowth stage
2.seel stage
3.diglett stage
4.gengar stage
5.mewtwo stage
Other Bonuses:
if you light up all the letters in hole(located near the flippers) you can get a bonus slot game. This gives you a chance to win several things (extra lives, ball savers ect.)

You have to use map move AND be in the Red Field to go to seafoam islands!
  Finding Mew! In order to find mew, you have to beat all 3 bonus stages 2 twice. Then you have to do a map move, if the move was successful, it should've taken you to indigo plateu. If it didn't, then you just need to try harder because you won't find mew that way!

You can not catch mew, but when you find it, it automatically goes into your pokedex. Plus, each time you hit that rare pokemon, you get a ton of points!
