Why Won't They Evolve? Sometimes pokemon won't evolve in this game becasue they have to be happy and love you. This is called friendly evoloution. Friendly Evoloutions: togepi chansey eevee-umbreon eevee-espeon golbat pichu and most baby pokemon Other Times Pokemon need certain stones to evolve- Stones: thunder fire water leaf sun moon An exception is the everstone which stops your pokemon from evolving. Also, certain pokemon have to be traded to evolve, and some even have to have a certain item on them while trading to make them evolve! trading evoloutions: graveler onix-metal coat scyther-metal coat machoke porygon-upgrade poliwhirl-king's rock slowpoke-king's rock seadra-dragon's fang Most pokemon will evolve when they're at the right level. 
The Story One of the funnest games of pokemon. It contains 100 new species of pokemon, a new character, radio, phone, and tons of other neato lil' goodies. The story line goes about the same as red and blue: Your new character known as hiroshi(the only name given to him was japanese) travels from town to town catching new pokemon, battling new gym leaders, confronting your new rival(whom i like to call spud), and thwarting the plans of the resurected team rocket. There are other lil' doodads and features jammed in there too. Bug catching contest, radio contests, mysteries, ect. Tips and Cheats: Catching: snubbull-snubbull can be caught in the morning in the grass just outside ecruteak on the left side. It takes a while to find one and you just might find entei, suicune, or raikou in the process. marill-You can catch marill in Mt. Mortar- it takes for ever! Misdreavus-The only pure ghost type. You can catch this pokemon in Mt. Silver like most rare pokemon it takes forever to find one. Crystal Version Like Special Pikachu edition,but with more new features, such as: Suicune can be found right on the map as lugia and ho-oh were instead of having to chase it around. Something else that I thought was a cute thing to add in was that the pictures of the pokemon's expression changes. For example a picture of a meowth might blink and move it's eyes or something.Also you can play the game as a female character, Minaki, and male character, Hiroshi, now. Then There is the challenge tower in Olivine where you can fight trainers as you progree up the tower! How To Catch The Legendary Pokemon Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Lugia, and Ho-oh are the only legendary pokemon you are able to catch in this game. You have to trade zapdos, articuno, moltres, and mewtwo from a Red, Blue, or Yellow version. Mew and Celebi can only be obtained through nintendo or gameshark( gameshark may erase you game!) Suicune Raikou and Entei run around Johto randomly it takes time and effort to catch them.
